Cat Felted Figure

I love my kitties and try to give them extra grooming help – nails, fur, eyes, etc.  They don’t love it when I brush them, but they will endure it when I force it upon them.  I am always amazed by the amount of super-soft fur that comes off them.

It would be a shame to toss all that softness in the trash. I mean, wool is from sheep and alpaca, right?  Then there is Bunny Angora?  You know where I am going with this.

Thus, after lots of time and many needle pokes, I present a felted cat figure!  MADE WITH MY CATS’ FUR!  Now my girls can be with me fur-ever!

It is interesting that even though both my girls are mainly black (of course), the fur I had to work with is more gray.  I read that their underfur is usually lighter.  Still, it’s a reminder of them both.   I thought about adding Bastet’s white “touch of god” at the throat but I think that might be too distracting and with Senny being so fluffy, not sure I could approximate her so I just kept it basic.

I still have a lot of fur left, so I may at some point do a more stylized version or something that will include their respective white touches.
